Dear Parents/Guardians
Canonbury is a school offering both Infant and Junior education, catering for boys and girls between the ages 1-12. We pride ourselves on being a school that reflects the local community in all its diversity, a school where parents, children and staff value the opportunity to work together for the benefit of all.
We would like to welcome you to our school website. It is designed to give you a glimpse of our school and is packed with information that you as parents and guardians will need to know. The website has information on all the aspects of our school.
We have a very strong vision which upholds a fundamental part of how we move the school forward and we have values which underpin this vision. Our school has a very dedicated team of staff who work exceptionally hard to ensure each child achieves his/her desired results.
As a junior school, we believe that young children learn best when they are stimulated by an exciting and challenging curriculum which motivates them to learn. Our ethos is that our students leave Canonbury as confident, resourceful and respectful individuals who are ready to lead a successful life at Secondary school and beyond.
At Canonbury, we have high expectations of all our children in terms of academics and co-curricular activities. In planning lessons, teachers ensure that both slow and fast learners are accommodated. In addition, teachers use a range of teaching approaches to ensure that all children are actively involved.
As a school, we greatly value the view of all our stakeholders as their contributions ensure our learners fully benefit. On that vein, we call upon the parents/guardians to constructively evaluate our school activities as this will help the school improve.
